PPP CONFERENCE
An-eX organised the biennial Perspectives in Percutaneous Penetration conference (PPP) between 1993 and 2022 and has played an integral part in its long success.
For almost 30 years, the driving force behind the PPP conference was a combination of the talents of Dr Keith Brain and Dr Ken Walters, assisted by the conference secretariat Brenda Williams. Both Keith and Ken were characterful and highly respected scientists moving the field forward and helping to develop the knowledge and careers of scientists around the World.
The purpose of the PPP Conference is to provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of all the latest research, development and technology concerning the penetration of exogenous compounds through the skin. The Scientific Committee (comprising eminent academic and commercial scientists from around the globe) also greatly assist in selecting important and current topics for plenary lectures, short presentations and poster presentations.
The conference has always offered a perfect blend of commercial and academic research, frequently enabling future collaborations. The meetings are especially relevant to those involved in dermatological research, the development of formulations, risk assessment and regulatory affairs relating to the dermal effects of molecules within the agrochemical, cosmetic and pharmaceutical fields within industrial, academic and governmental domains.
The continuing high level of interest in this research area has led to 17 successful conferences to date. The vast majority of these have been held at the Palais des Congres located at La Grande Motte, a popular and picturesque seaside resort and port near Montpellier on the south coast of France. The date of any potential future meetings has not yet been determined.
